Job Summary

The Director of Business Development leads the development of energy savings performance contracts (ESPC), power purchase agreements, and procurement consulting with local government agencies; plans, coordinates, leads, and manages projects from new business opportunity estimating stage through contract execution stage, and serves as liaison to owner and project management team during project set up, coordination, and turnover; ensures quality and efficiency of project delivery by providing technical and business feedback, analysis, and support on all respective project assignments.


This role is fully remote with travel required, but applicant must be in the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities
  • Lead business development for Energy Savings Performance Contracts, power purchase agreements, and shared savings contracts
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, identifying needs and proposing solutions
  • Deliver qualification presentations and participate in final sales presentations with executive leadership
  • Assist with project financing, budget analysis, and coordination with strategic partners for lead generation
  • Evaluate and source project opportunities, leveraging Go/No-Go criteria and networking with key partners
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional organizations to develop new business
  • Build and continually grow network of strategic partners in the local government space

Requirements
  • Business Development role5+ years
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel regionally
  • Microsoft Office, Word, and ExcelStrong - Strong
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Management, Administration, or related field
  • Track record of managing complex projects in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Strong industry involvement and key design team relationships
  • Experience developing and securing energy savings performance contracts
  • Negotiation skills with experience in vendor discussions and internal decision-making

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary of $110k-$150k depending on experience
