**Consultant Needed for Email Infrastructure Assessment**
**Location: Remote
**Job Type:** Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled email infrastructure consultant to assess our current internally hosted email systems [Lyris], evaluate alternative solutions, and secondarily to provide expert advice on enhancing our email delivery capabilities.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in analysis of and managing and optimizing email servers
- Deep understanding of email protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP) and how they interact with modern email systems.
- Expertise in email deliverability, including knowledge of spam filters, blacklisting, and whitelist strategies.
- Familiarity with API integrations relevant to email services.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about proposed system architecture and performance.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience with cloud-based email solutions and hybrid setups.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to email systems.
- Previous consultancy experience in similar environments.
- Advise on best practices for avoiding blacklisting and navigating spam filters.
- Flexibility in working arrangements (remote work possible).
