Assistant Project ManagerNorth Star Fabrication
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help the Project Manager oversee construction projects for Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings and General Contracting. This role involves managing daily operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects, including cost estimation and material procurement
- Develop and update project schedules and documentation, ensuring timely completion and compliance with contract specifications
- Manage subcontractor job kits, contracts, and purchase orders, and secure all necessary documentation
- Track and expedite material deliveries, shop drawings, submittals, and other essential project documents
- Assist in preparing change orders, job status reports, and project closeout activities
- Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Responsible and high level of accuracy in work
- Analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making
- Excellent communication and conceptual thinking abilities
- Self-Motivated and capable of inspiring others
- Strategic planning and ability to execute long-range goals
- Assistant Project Manager experience•3 - 5 years
- OR Superintendent experience•5 - 10 years
- Experience in industrial or commercial construction
- Demonstrated skills in estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications
- MS Project, Excel, and Word
- Obtain or maintain OSHA 10 Staffing and Training
