Engelland Farms, GP located in Sterling, KS has an opening for a Skilled Farm Worker. This position will include Equipment Maintenance, Operating Farm Trucks, Self-Propelled Sprayers and other Equipment and Caring for Cattle. This position requires competence and skill in maintaining all types of farm equipment. Mechanical ability, attention to detail and problem solving skill is a must. Cattle feeding, care and handling is a feature of the job and experience with gentle handling of all ages of cattle is important. The duties of the job include operating large farm equipment and semi trucks as well as maintaining the equipment in proper working order. Experience with precision farming interfaces and Climate FieldView is desirable. The applicant must have a clean driving record and have a current CDL or the ability to gain a CDL. This is a full time position and will require a willingness to work with team members. Wages are commiserate with experience.We are a multi-generational family farm. The successful applicant will have a good moral character and strong ethics. We do not work on Sunday except for animal care.
