Job Summary

The Media Manager is a strategic thinker who develops and executes effective media plans and strategies to help clients achieve their fundraising and marketing goals.

 

As a Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive media strategies that drive brand awareness, enhance customer/donor engagement, and achieve overall marketing objectives. You will play a critical role in planning, executing, and optimizing media campaigns across various platforms (e.g., digital, TV, radio, print, OTT, and social platforms) to ensure maximum reach and impact.

Responsibilities
  • Research and Analysis: Regularly conduct research and analysis to fully understand the media channels and assets available and determine the best matches to meet client objectives.
  • Media Planning: Determine the best media mix for a client's campaigns based on briefings from Client Success Managers and provide comprehensive media plans that outline the optimal vendors to reach the target audience effectively.
  • Media Buying: Negotiate with media vendors and publishers to secure placements at the best possible rates and ensure that campaigns reach the desired audience at the right times. Maintain regular contact with media representatives.
  • Media Trafficking: Traffic all digital assets for client media buys to the appropriate vendor.
  • Media Optimization: Monitor the performance of media buys across media channels to ensure optimal performance. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and make necessary adjustments to optimize the campaign’s effectiveness.
  • Media Reporting and Measurement: Pull report data from donor management systems, vendors, publishers, and digital ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Business and Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Display & Video 360, Microsoft Advertising/Bing Ads, etc.). Develop and maintain media performance dashboards, as well as compile and analyze monthly media reports. Research all available Nielsen or ComScore activity for clients and prepare reports as needed.
  • Platform Selection: Evaluate different media channels, including digital media (email, social media, display, programmatic, search engine marketing, etc.) and traditional media (television, radio, print, outdoor, etc.), to determine the most effective platforms for each campaign.
  • Budget Management: Maintain detailed records of all media budgets and placements. Approve media invoices and settle any billing discrepancies. Manage and reconcile client media budgets with accounting (billing, payments, disbursements, and media escrow). Provide regular updates to the Client Success Managers.
  • Program Representation and Placement: Research and identify suitable network, station, or streaming channel placements for clients’ programming. Negotiate contracts, traffic programming, create distribution schedules, process invoices and payments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Station Representation: Research and identify potential programmers and advertisers, pitch opportunities, negotiate contracts, and oversee trafficking. Efficiently manage invoices, payments, affidavits, and contract renewals for television stations.
  • Closed Captioning: Facilitate and manage closed captioning activities for clients, including production schedules. Negotiate rates and manage annual contract renewals.
  • Trend and Technology Monitoring: Stay up to date with industry trends, changes in consumer behavior, emerging media platforms and technologies, and the overall media landscape with a focus on outlets that serve the Christian community.
  • Miscellaneous: Perform other reasonable tasks relating to the mission of Infinity Concepts as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree. Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a media department, with hands-on experience in media planning, media buying, and media reporting.
  • Knowledge of the Bible and the contemporary Christian church
  • Prior experience working with email, digital media, print, broadcast, outdoor, and radio
  • Ability to analyze data and use outcomes to drive strategic media decisions
  • Operational understanding of Paid Search (SEM), Paid Social, Display, Programmatic, Email, and digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business & Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Display & Video 360, and Microsoft Advertising/Bing Ads)
  • Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
