Civil EngineerSummey Engineering Associates

We're looking for a Civil Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our established engineering firm in Asheboro, NC. In this role, you'll be responsible for completing detailed, project-specific designs for site development, water and wastewater, and capital improvement projects. You'll work as part of a team to develop design documents for construction projects and provide engineering reports for clients needing field changes.

• Design and produce civil engineering construction documents (site plans, utility plan/profile, design reports, specifications) using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Assist in review agency coordination for site permitting and work in accordance with company standards from concept phase through construction administration
• Make field visits to assess field issues
• Perform civil utility and site design (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, HGL modeling, fire flow design, and stormwater management) and coordinate with typical mechanical utilities

• Able to produce drawings

• Strong communicator and problem-solver
• Experience or understanding of erosion control, drainage, site grading, and earthworks
