Location: Remote

Remote with extensive travel across the United States, including to the company’s office in Columbia, TN.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Account Management:
  • Identify and engage potential buyers and sellers in the wholesale hardwood lumber industry.
  • Drive sales by demonstrating the benefits of Lumber Marketplace to flooring, cabinet, millwork, and other related wholesale hardwood lumber-buying businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, ensuring they are satisfied with the platform.
  • Customer Operations:
  • Provide training and support to businesses on how to use Lumber Marketplace effectively.
  • Assist businesses with account setup, inventory posting, and transaction processing.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns businesses may have with the platform.
  • Public Relations and Events:
  • Represent Lumber Marketplace at trade shows and conventions, including setting up and tearing down booths.
  • Act as the public-facing persona of the company, promoting the platform and engaging with potential businesses.
  • Conduct on-site visits to businesses across the United States to drive engagement and transactions.


What We Offer:

  • Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Onboarding Bonus: Uncapped bonuses for each new seller or buyer successfully onboarded and transacting on the platform.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the hardwood lumber industry (e.g., flooring, cabinet, millwork sales).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently on the road.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Experience with online marketplaces or e-commerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of the hardwood lumber industry and its key players.
  • Ability to wear many hats and manage multiple tasks effectively.
