Job Summary

Christensen Arms is seeking a highly motivated Central Regional Sales Manager. The Central Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in the Central territory, managing/supporting independent rep groups, and managing national accounts. This role requires a dynamic leader who can build strong relationships, provide strategic direction, and ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the firearms industry, a proven track record in sales leadership, and experience working with both inside sales teams and independent rep groups. 

Responsibilities

National Account Management:

  • Forge new and manage existing relationships with National Accounts.
  • Represent Christensen Arms to the highest degree in interactions with all employees of National Accounts, including top management.
  • Create and execute growth strategies and tactics to ensure National Accounts and all who work within their organizations are raving fans of Christensen Arms.
  • Liase between National Accounts and key Christensen Arms stakeholders to relay feedback, areas of opportunity, product experiences, and beyond.

Rep Group Management:

  • Build, nurture, and manage relationships with independent rep groups in the Central region.
  • Provide training, support, and resources to rep groups to ensure they effectively represent Christensen Arms products.

Sales Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement growth-focused strategies for the Central region.
  • Set and monitor sales targets for the rep groups, ensuring they align with the company's overall sales goals.
  • Maintain positive relationships and open lines of communications with accounts to serve as a key point of contact within the company.
  • Drive strategy around account interaction, promotional events, training events, and product demos within the Central region. •

National Account Management: Performance Monitoring:

  • Regularly review the performance of rep groups, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, meetings, and training sessions with rep groups.
  • Review performance overall for the Central region, measure against goals, and ensure goals are being met and exceeded.

Market Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the Central region.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the territory.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and Inside Sales teams to ensure a cohesive sales approach.
  • Plan promotional events in collaboration with the Marketing team to cover all physical and digital avenues of promotion.
  • Share best practices and insights with other regional sales managers.
  • Communicate with the Inside Sales Team to ensure timely processing of orders, address account inquiries, and ensure all account data within region is accurate.

Reporting:

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the EVP of Sales as well as other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all sales activities in the CRM system.

Event Participation:

  • Represent Christensen Arms at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings in the Central region.
  • Organize and participate in promotional events and product launches.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing rep groups.
  • Strong knowledge of the firearms industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the Central region.
