SUMMARY

The Manager of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for establishing, developing, and evolving relationships with donors to generate funding required to support Canon Christian Academy (CCA) and The Citadel. CCA is the educational arm of CCRGV, providing nationally accredited Christian education from Kindergarten through High School. The Citadel is an extinction of Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley (CCRGV) in Belen NM, The Citadel is more than a facility, it is the center of the community and contains the programs, the people, and the truth necessary to transform lives.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Manager of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for meeting annual fundraising goals by building and managing a portfolio of donors and prospective donors, and by fundraising efforts. This role will process donations, manage receipting and thanking of donors, make appointments with donors and community leaders, and plan and manage donor events.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in project management, fundraising, event planning, and volunteer management. High levels of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative are important, as well as a high regard for confidentiality. The ability to multitask with strong attention to detail is expected. Organizational skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner are necessary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing and managing relationships and leading fundraising efforts of key events and programs, such as the Annual Canon Ball (includes areas such as ticket/table sales, sponsorships, and coordinating auction events).
  • Proposing and coordinating new fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop a marketing budget for approval to support fundraising activity.
  • Identifying and establishing potential partners, managing a prospect portfolio with annual goals for personal visits and giving outcomes.
  • Establish healthy relationships with both donors and potential donors, helping them understand the vision of CCA and the Citadel and encourage their financial, volunteer, and prayer support.
  • Advising the Senior Pastor on strategic planning for strengthening donor relations and a long-term, diverse funding plan.
  • Representing CCA and The Citadel to community leaders and at community events.
  • Effectively prepare meeting materials, stewardship reports, and major gift solicitations including, but not limited to high-quality solicitation materials, proposals, and investment decks.
  • Gather and catalog student/staff stories to be used in fundraising materials, newsletters, online appeals, thank you letters, etc.
  • Create monthly reports as required by management that accurately reflect portfolio activity and performance.
  • Perform other development activities as may be required.

 EXPECTATIONS:

  • Affirm that he/she is a born-again Christian who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior (John 3:3, I Peter 1:23, Romans 10:9-10).
  • Have displayed the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum and been an appropriate Christian role model (I Timothy 4:12).
  • Demonstrate spiritual maturity and a teachable spirit (Titus 2:2-8).
  • Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose fundamental beliefs agree with the Statement of Faith of CCRGV and CCA (Hebrews 10:24-25).
  • Be convinced of the importance of the need for daily prayer and meditation in the Word of God.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the CCRGV statement of faith.
  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian ministry.
  • Possess excellent human relations skills; strong organizational ability; goal oriented and self-motivated.
  • Strong presentation skills and public speaking experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written, and relationship building skills.
  • Understanding of the vision of CCA and The Citadel is required.

 COMPENSATION:

  • The Manager of Strategic Partnerships compensation includes:
    • Salary of $42,000
    • Three percent (3%) beginning Commission paid on revenue generated
    • Vehicle allowance of $700 per month
    • Use of approved marketing budget for outreach activities
    • Benefits offered include health and vision insurance.
