As the Human Resources Generalist working with Fertility Bridge, you have a major impact on the career fulfillment and dreams of our team.
You help with various Human Resource needs, and build our HR structure as you go.

You don’t do every HR task all the time!
We’re a small firm. At time of writing, we have a bench of independent contractors for our production needs and fewer than eight (8) full-time employees. This is why we need a generalist; the work varies. You’re not doing it all at once!
You teach us
What are different ways we can offer health insurance? What’s the difference between a simple 401k and a SEP 401k and which are we able to offer? YouTube is confusing sometimes. We’d love to learn from you! You enroll us when the time is right.
You help with recruiting
Certainly, you’re not expected to do full-time recruiting. We only fill two (2) to four (4) full-time positions per year anyway. We do, however, want to get better at passive recruiting for both full-time employees and independent contractors and would like your help with that.
You help write our policies
Don’t want to revamp our employee handbook? Great! Because we don’t really have one. We would love your help in making one over time.
You keep an eye on compliance
You’re not a lawyer (are you?) and we don’t expect legal advice. We’re a little firm but we want to do the right thing. We want your guidance to do things by the book.
You write growth track plans
We’ve got some ideas, but we don’t totally know how to make these. Wanna give it a shot?
You write job descriptions
Hate this one? Great! You can replace it with what you want. Love this one? Great! You’ve already got a template.
You vet candidates
You go through our application pipeline for various positions. You dismiss candidates that aren’t a good fit, and pass the next ones on to the 20-30 minute screening interview.
You conduct the 20-30 minute screening interviews
You’re in luck! The person who vetted the candidates did a great job! :)
You keep employee records and organize evaluations
We have employee evaluations, and we use them, but we need your help in structuring the records that are associated with them.
You update employment agreements
If you think they need to be updated.
You onboard new employees
We’ve got what they need for their roles. You get their requirements for our payroll system Gusto, and whatever paperwork needs to come from their city or state (we’re 100% remote).
You tell us we can’t have fun
This is just an ugly HR stereotype…right?

Our Hiring Process
You’re going to have a lot of autonomy and decision-making authority at Fertility Bridge. You are the queen or king of your seat and we follow your lead in your space. Because you have so much control, we really want to get to know you and we really want you to get to know us.
All interviews take place over Zoom, except the first, which is sometimes done over the phone. At the end of each interview, we give you the opportunity to ask us any questions you please. If we think we are going to offer you the position, we will ask you to make the introductions for certain references.
Most positions involve a paid assignment so that we both get the opportunity to see what it is like to work together.
