This person is competent and capable of taking online and phone orders, generating sales through online marketing, and handling any customer service issues that may arise in the process of ordering, shipping, and receiving products. Here are the job requirements:
PERSONABLE - Great customer service is what our company is built upon. We are seeking a people-person who is a great communicator via email and phone. Most of our business leads are historically by word of mouth, and when people are treated well, we see that our customers spread the word to friends.
MOTIVATED TO GROW THE COMPANY - Pay is a base annual salary plus year end bonuses based on sales that year, so the more sales that can be generated, the more you will make. We believe in paying people for doing a great job.
ONLINE MARKETING - No need to make cold calls or travel. Online retail sales is the simplest type of sales since there is no need for slick conversations with strangers. All our customers come to us with questions. We need an Office Sales and Marketing Manager who will be capable of social media posting, curating the website, and improving online visibility.
WORK HARD WITH FLEXIBILITY - Dock sales are usually hot in the early spring and summer, and very slow in the winter. This means we have a busy season and a slow season. Busy season is marked by working with a lot of customers at once (requiring organization) and earning a laid back season (affording freedom).
SOMEWHAT TECHNICAL - This position should only be considered by job-seekers who have a basic understanding in tools and assembly. No background in construction required, but teaching how assembly works will be require some technical training. Jack Docks ships docks all around the country for customers to assemble.
FAST LEARNER - If you are unfamiliar with the marine industry you need not worry as long as you are a fast learner and apply yourself to becoming a dock expert. We train employees on all products.
Preferences: experience with sales, marketing, and/or customer service; undergraduate degree or experience with construction; experience with digital marketing; letter of recomendation from previous employer; experience with Quickbooks online
Other notes: Starting pay will be based on experience. Profit sharing: salaried employees also receive end of the year bonuses based on company sales. Typical weekday hours. Office is in North Providence, RI.
