Children’s Health Defense (CHD) is a litigation advocacy organization dedicated to protecting child health, ending the epidemic of children’s chronic health conditions by eliminating harmful environmental exposures, holding those responsible accountable, and establishing safeguards. Guided by science, we are tackling big pharma, holding big industry accountable at an unprecedented scale, and establishing safeguards to make a safer environment for children. We share our discoveries about harmful environmental exposures with the public and nurture a culture of leadership in communities. Our programs and resources cultivate science literacy and build a foundation of collaborative problem-solving among our next generation of leaders, scientists, physicians, citizens, and stewards. Working both nationally and internationally, our collaborative approach engages local communities, governments, the private sector, and other partners.

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Overview:

• Work closely with staff to create professional visual assets for CHD.TV and other CHD websites
• Design additional creative assets for website 
• Operate in a fast-paced news environment requiring multiple designs per day

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize themes for episode thumbnails for daily programming schedule
• Collaborate, brainstorm and strategize with staff/teams on various projects
• Prepare rough drafts and comps for review by staff
• Create website banners, ads 
• Work closely with staff to meet programming deadlines
• Update featured images for shows, videos and segments
• Adhere to Children’s Health Defense branding and content standards
• Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects
• Update and maintain internal database of assets, completed images and other files

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong graphic design skills
• Proven experience with a strong portfolio of work
• Exceptional creatively and innovative design skills
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with show hosts and producers
• Very comfortable with technology
• Must have excellent eye for detail
• Prefer 2+ years experience working/volunteering in vaccine injury movement
• Prefer AA, BA or certificate in graphic design/art
• Prefer at least 5+ years of professional graphic design experience
