Job Overview:

Public Affairs Coordinator will report to the Chief Communications Officer, working primarily with the Public Affairs department and working secondarily with the marketing team for deliverables. This role is critical to knowing how Patriot Mobile is being represented by reporters, the news media, and general social media. This candidate must be a team player and ready and willing to dive in on special projects as needed. This position requires evening events and some travel to conferences and conventions as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Daily news media and social media monitoring of all company mentions and creating a daily report for leadership containing highlights with details attached.
  • Creative solutions to media hits and amplifying positive media for maximum reach.
  • Monitoring social media for Patriot Mobile LLC, addressing compliments and complaints while looking up individuals to see if they are actual customers and following Patriot Mobile’s procedure of how to respond.
  • Monitor, plan and execute enhancing social media posts and website using Wordpress
  • Creating compelling meme’s that organically grow social media followers and reach
  • Working with social media amplifiers to create and target digital media messaging with broad based impact.
  • Design Power Point presentations, graphics, and various communications needs.
  • Various writing assignments to include but not limited to, press releases, blogs, action items, and first drafts for company-wide communication.
  • Press Release distribution and media interview management.
  • Creative video content for social media.
  • Drafting internal and external documents as cultural issues arise.
  • Work with all departments on issues and communications needs.
  • Keeping website and social media regularly updated with fresh content.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven writing skills
  • Project management
  • Social media administrator experience
  • Microsoft Office Platform to include excellent Power Point and Excel skills
  • Various graphics programs including Canva
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Self-driven team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience with Wordpress CMS
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel database
  • Social media administrative skills
  • Political issues and candidates at all levels


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited college, in Print/Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or related field.
  • In depth knowledge of the political environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of spaces to include cubicle, counter, and or desk areas.
  • Must be able to lift and move items up to 25 pounds.
