slashBlue is an Information Technology company that has rapidly expanded over the past two and half years and is looking for a systems administrator for our Managed Services practice to perform proactive service duties and assist our support team to resolve issues for good in order to help our clients save time and work with greater joy.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

System Administration:

  • Provide technical expertise in the support of client end-user hardware, software, and network systems
  • Provide successful completion of assigned proactive monitoring, preventative maintenance, and project tasks
  • Assist in creation of accurate system diagrams & workflow maps for supported client systems

Technology Resolution Expertise:

  • Provide client direction, knowledge, and efforts to solve & prevent repeat client technical issues & problems
  • Provide clear communication and expectations with clients to ensure resolution of all open issues
  • Accurately diagnose and provide resolution or vendor escalation for complex technical problems

Product Specialist for our Service Catalog solutions:

  • Assist client users with product features, questions, & concerns, communicating steps to address their needs
  • Help maintain accurate inventory of clients’ installed assets (hardware and software) & purchased services
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for our internal knowledge base

Managed Services Improvements:

  • Implement ideas & automation to help streamline current Help Desk processes and support systems
  • Assist in production-readiness validation for new Service Catalog solutions from our Development team
  • Assist in identifying ongoing and future technology needs for our clients alongside the team

Experience (minimums):

  • 3-4 yrs professional technology experience, ideally in a services & support environment or mid-sized organization
  • 3-4 yrs professional experience solving escalated, complex technical issues, preferably in a ticket-based environment
  • 3-4 yrs professional experience performing infrastructure and/or end-user facing I.T. projects as a systems admin
  • Experience with Architecture/Engineering industry & software is a plus (Autodesk, CAD, Revit, Bluebeam, etc.)

Education:

  • CompTIA, MCSE, MCITP or other technical Certifications highly desired
  • ITIL Familiarity with certification strongly preferred
  • Lifetime learning mindset required

 

Technical Skills Desired

Proven knowledge of a wide range of current professional-user solutions:

  • End-User:
    • Desktop operating systems (Windows 10, MAC)
    • End-User Productivity solutions (Office365, Teams)
  • Infrastructure:
    • Network security solutions & management
    • Remote Access solutions
    • Azure Administration
    • Windows Server management
  • Security Services:
    • User Account Management (Active Directory)
    • Group Policy management
    • Anti-virus/anti-malware prevention & response
  • Scripting & Process Automation
    • Working knowledge of Powershell Scripting desired
    • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and bring solutions to address root cause

 

Benefits

Compensation:

  • Salary commensurate with experience, starting range at $85k/year
  • Base + Benefits + Profit-Sharing potentia

  • Reimbursement for Remote Office expenses (full office equipment set-up provided)

Environment:

  • M-F business hours Remote Work position (availability to work from most US states)
  • Required occasional in-person meetings at a Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota location (travel reimbursement provided)
  • Rotating, scheduled escalation POC for our after-hours full-service Help Desk (typically 1 week 1x/month)
  • Home/Remote Office high-speed internet connectivity required
