Logistics Manager assists the Operations department in end-to-end shipment management ensuring the highest level of on time performance as well as first class customer service.  Logistics Manager will also be responsible for assigning routes, pick-up/delivery schedules, and dispatching drivers.  Logistics Manager is responsible to input, extract, and analyze data across several freight forwarding systems.

Logistics Manager must be able to prepare documents, such as airway bills, commercial invoices, IT documents, delivery orders, etc., while maintaining and building good relationships with the clients through high levels of customer service and support.

This person also assists in managing their own profit center, working closely with the Director of Operations to invoice accurately and quote according to the services requested.  Logistics Manager will assist in managing any issues that arise while maintaining a positive attitude and displaying exemplary customer service.

Essential Duties:

  • Ability to prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Maintains communication with drivers via telephone and email.
  • Schedule, monitor and update shipments.
  • Works with drivers, administrators, and the clients in resolution of problem situations.
  • Accurately Prepare documents, such as Airway bills, Commercial Invoices, International Shipping Documents, Delivery Orders, and or any documents associated with shipments etc.
  • Assists the Operations Director in maintaining key performance indicators such as on time performance, cost improvement initiatives, and overall client satisfaction.
  • Will perform all the other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration.

  • Five plus years of Logistics Management experience required
  • Transportation software knowledge a plus
  • Airfreight Experience – Domestic and International
  • Rate contract negotiation skills a plus
  • Flexibility with work schedule required
  • Clean Background check is a must due to Dept. of Homeland Security requirements


**Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 (based on experience)
