About the Role
The Engineering & Production Control Manager is a key leadership role responsible for aligning engineering execution, production planning, and system integrity to ensure we deliver the right product, at the right time, with exceptional quality.
This role sits at the intersection of product design, manufacturing operations, and planning systems, driving efficiency from concept through production. You will lead a team, optimize workflows, and build scalable processes that support both standard production and highly customized orders.
Lead Engineering Execution
Manage and prioritize engineering workloads to meet delivery timelines
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers
Ensure accuracy and quality of all engineering documentation and design outputs
Oversee product design, value engineering, and implementation of new products
Support new product introductions (NPI) and customer-driven customizations
Own Production Planning & Control
Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments
Oversee capacity planning, work order release, and material flow
Monitor KPIs such as lead time, on-time delivery, and throughput
Coordinate closely with Production, Sales, and Supply Chain to align demand and execution
Drive Systems & Process Excellence
Own and optimize MRP/ERP and EPDM systems for planning and documentation
Ensure accurate data, revision control, and system integrity
Lead Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes across departments
Implement and sustain Lean / Six Sigma improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency
Partner Cross-Functionally
Collaborate with Sales and customers on product requirements, timelines, and feasibility
Support quoting, cost estimation, and forecasting activities
Serve as a key connector between engineering, manufacturing, and business teams
Build & Lead a High-Performing Team
Hire, coach, and develop engineering and production planning staff
Set clear priorities, track performance, and communicate progress
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or production planning
3–5+ years of people leadership experience
Strong expertise with MRP/ERP systems and production scheduling
Experience with EPDM/PDM systems and engineering documentation control
Proven success in capacity planning, material flow, and on-time delivery performance
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
Background in new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change management
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5 years of management experience in an Operations environment•5 - 10 years
- Engineering and progressive planning/scheduling experience strongly desired.•3 - 5 years
- Engineering/Planning and/or Scheduling Management Experience.•2 - 5 years
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or other technical field.

- Experience leading or supporting new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change processes (ECR/ECO)
- Demonstrated success in production scheduling, capacity planning, and material flow optimization in a manufacturing environment
- Ethical, positive, forward-thinking mindset with strong problem-solving abilities•Weak - Strong
- Hands-on experience with engineering documentation systems (EPDM/PDM), including workflow management and revision control
- Proven experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) for production planning, scheduling, and capacity management
- Business and Supply Chain Management degrees are a plus.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience strongly preferred
- EPICOR/Kinetic knowledge
