Chief AdministratorBlue Ridge Ear Nose Throat and Plastic Surgery
Blue Ridge ENT is a physician-owned Ear, Nose & Throat practice in Lynchburg, Virginia. We practice whole-person medicine and we don't treat symptoms in isolation, we trace the disease to its roots. The patient is not a chart. The patient is a person.
We are hiring a Practice Administrator to lead all operational, financial, and administrative functions of the practice. This is not a support role. It is the senior operational leadership position — the person who owns the domain so the physicians can focus on clinical care.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
This practice is becoming the operational backbone for something bigger that serves independent specialist practices across Central Virginia. The Principal Administrator who leads Blue Ridge ENT well is the natural candidate for senior leadership as the organization scales to serve the community.
The ceiling on this role is not the practice. It is the organization the practice is seeding.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Establish a culture within BRENT, that medicine is not extractive, but a vehicle for experiencing life to fullest
Build and maintain that culture among staff — hiring, onboarding, development, performance management
Lead all administrative, financial, and operational functions for a multi-service-line ENT practice (general ENT, audiology, allergy, hearing aids)
Manage revenue cycle oversight — collections, AR, denials, payer contract performance
Oversee clinic workflows, scheduling optimization, vendor management, and facilities
Develop back-office capabilities that will scale to serve additional practices as the MSO grows
Serve as the physicians' operational counterpart — resolving administrative decisions so physicians spend 85%+ of their time in patient care
WHO YOU ARE
You have managed healthcare operations at the practice, clinic, or facility level — physician practice administration, military medical facility management, or equivalent
You are a teacher at heart and find joy in sharing the knowledge you have with others.
You are a builder, not a maintainer. You have built something from scratch, a service line, a location, a new program, not just kept the lights on.
You manage finances with integrity. AR days, denial rates, overhead ratios, and collections are stewardship indicators, not just numbers
You treat people with dignity under pressure. The staff's experience of you matters as much as the physicians' experience of you
You have a track record of doing the right thing when no one was watching and no one required it
COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
Experienced (5+ years healthcare operations): $110,000–$140,000
Development track (0–3 years): $70,000–$90,000
90-day remote or on site consulting engagement before conversion to full-time salary — confirms fit for both parties
Performance incentives tied to overhead reduction and revenue growth
WHY THIS ROLE
Full operational authority within a physician-owned practice — the boundary between clinical and administrative domains is clear and respected
Development path from practice leadership to MSO senior leadership
Physician-owned. No private equity timeline. No extraction logic. Built for the long term
A practice that treats the whole person, not just the disease, and an operational leader who makes that possible
If you have spent your career building healthcare operations with excellence and integrity, and you are looking for a role where that work serves something with lasting consequence, we would welcome the conversation.
