Job Summary
The Campaign Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of a competitive congressional campaign. This role requires strong political instincts, strategic thinking, team leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate is a disciplined operator who can translate the candidate’s vision into a winning campaign plan. With the supervision of the candidate and consulting team, the campaign manager will execute campaign operations, monitor internal and external communications, and manage all aspects of the candidate’s schedule.Essential Job Responsibilities:Execute the overall campaign strategy, message, and timeline.Manage day-to-day campaign operations, ensuring all departments work cohesively toward goals.Prepare the candidate for public appearances.Oversee the candidate’s schedule, advance, and logistics for speaking engagements and events. Collaborate with the Finance Director to ensure fundraising goals are being met.Assist with donor call time and take notes as needed.Maintain receipts and assist with campaign budget tracking. Coordinate with communications staff and consultants to shape the campaign’s message across earned, paid, and digital media.Draft press releases, talking points and other communication memos as needed.Monitor email inbox, media requests and serve as liaison from the campaign to the consulting team.Coordinate with the Digital Team to ensure social posts are posted, website is maintained and volunteer sign ups are monitored. Supervise field organizing operations including voter outreach, canvassing, phone banking, and volunteer recruitment.Use data-driven tools (such as i360, Campaign Sidekick, or VAN) to identify, target, and mobilize voters.Ensure strong grassroots engagement and community presence.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in political science, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).Proven track record in campaign management, political organizing, or senior-level campaign operations.Knowledge of voter data platforms (Numinar, i360) and marketing platforms (Constant Contact, Mailchimp) are a plus.
