Sheet Metal DrafterAdvanced Fixtures
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our engineering team at Advanced Fixtures Inc as a Sheet Metal Drafter. You will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings for metal fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD software, knowledge of metal fabrication processes, and a keen eye for detail. Develop detailed technical drawings for metal fabrication projects using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
Work closely with engineering, product development, and project management to ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards
Participate in project meetings to discuss design requirements and modifications
Update drawings as needed to reflect changes during the fabrication process
Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and precision in fabricated metal products
Clearly communicate with our import vendors to ensure that metal products arrive correct
Work with installers to troubleshoot and solve assembly challenges in the field
Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and/or proven experience as a Metal Draftsman/Sheet Metal Drafter
Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Innovative problem-solver with a proven track record of delivering creative, effective solutions
Highly organized self-starter with strong time-management and prioritization skills
Experienced in budget management, cost-control strategies, and identifying opportunities for savings
