We’re a small, mission-driven team that values integrity, craftsmanship, and long-term relationships.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who can blend technical know-how with strong customer relationship skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the design and sales side of engineered systems.
You’ll take ownership of large greenhouse automation projects — from understanding customer needs to designing preliminary layouts, preparing quotes, and supporting the project through delivery.
This is a customer-facing, project-oriented sales role that’s both technical and consultative in nature.
What You’ll Do
Manager greenhouse automation and environmental control projects from concept to completion
Work directly with customers to understand requirements, site conditions, and goals
Create preliminary layouts and drawings (SketchUp, AutoCAD LT, or similar)
Develop bills of materials and pricing proposals
Coordinate with internal engineering for detailed design and manufacturing
Support project handoff and stay engaged through installation and follow-up
Represent the company at key trade shows (MANTS, Cultivate, and others)
Build long-term relationships and identify new project opportunities
hat You Bring
5+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or project management in a related industry (controls, HVAC, industrial automation, or ag tech)
Hands-on understanding of motors, contactors, relays, and control panels
Ability to create or read system drawings and basic electrical layouts
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable for project outcomes
Willingness to travel approximately 20% for customer visits and trade shows
Alignment with the company’s values and collaborative, purpose-driven culture
Bonus Points
Experience with greenhouse systems, environmental controls, or building automation
Prior experience using SketchUp, AutoCAD LT, or similar software
Familiarity with VFDs, PLCs, or panel design fundamentals
Why You’ll Love It Here
A role that lets you see your work come to life in real projects
A company culture built on integrity, craftsmanship, and service
Close collaboration with leadership and engineering
Opportunity to shape a growing business that values both people and purpose
