NCA seeks a Grammar School Principal who will serve as both an academic and spiritual leader for the youngest students, faculty, and families. This leader will play a critical role in shaping the school's culture, advancing its mission, and ensuring the daily life of the Grammar School reflects the highest standards of classical Christian education.
This is a season of growth and strategic refinement and the next Principal will have the opportunity to steward NCA's classical tradition while guiding faculty, students, and families in alignment with the school's unwavering mission.
Role Overview
The Grammar School Principal is responsible for the academic, spiritual, and operational leadership of the Grammar School. Reporting to the Head of School, this individual will:
Shepherd students in both academic and character formation
Lead and mentor faculty, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and excellence
Oversee the implementation and integration of the curriculum
Engage families, communicate the school's mission, and cultivate meaningful parent partnerships
Collaborate with school leadership on policies, schoolwide events, and institutional initiatives
Represent NCA in the broader classical Christian education community
Student Leadership
Guide students in academic, moral, and spiritual development
Promote a positive, nurturing, and rigorous classroom culture
Encourage students' curiosity, love for learning, and character formation
Faculty Leadership
Mentor, evaluate, and support teachers in their professional and spiritual growth
Cultivate a collaborative, mission-aligned faculty culture
Encourage innovation within the classical framework while maintaining fidelity to the school's educational philosophy
Curriculum & Academic Oversight
Ensure the Grammar School curriculum is faithfully implemented and reflects classical Christian values
Collaborate with faculty to enhance instructional practice and academic outcomes
Integrate mission-driven approaches to teaching and learning
Family Engagement & Community
Communicate clearly and consistently with parents about student progress, school expectations, and mission-aligned participation
Build strong, trust-based relationships with families
Encourage parents' active engagement in the school's life and culture
Institutional Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with the Head of School and administrative team to implement schoolwide policies and initiatives
Participate in broader classical Christian education networks and professional development opportunities
Serve as a visible ambassador for NCA's mission and values
Spiritual & Mission Alignment
