Position Overview: The Development Coordinator supports the organization's fundraising efforts by managing relationships with lower-level donors, coordinating outreach, and assisting with donor communications and data tracking. This position ensures consistent donor engagement through timely follow-ups, acknowledgments, and accurate record-keeping to build the foundation for long-term donor loyalty and growth.
Manage outreach and communication with lower-level and grassroots donors via phone, email, and digital channels.
Assist in executing donor cultivation, retention, and upgrade campaigns.
Conduct preliminary donor research and help maintain accurate donor profiles in the CRM.
Support the coordination of donor appeals, renewal letters, and email fundraising campaigns.
Process and track incoming contributions, acknowledging gifts promptly and accurately.
Prepare donor lists, reports, and metrics for internal use and campaign planning.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure consistent messaging and donor stewardship.
Provide administrative support for the development department, including scheduling and meeting coordination.
Perform other duties as assigned to support department objectives.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, political science, nonprofit management, sales or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in fundraising, political campaigns, donor relations, or sales preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional phone and email etiquette.
Familiarity with fundraising databases or CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce).
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
Commitment to the organization's mission and understanding of the political landscape.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, campaign-style environment.
