The Daily Caller is looking for a highly skilled and creatively sharp Comedy Video Editor to join our production team and help shape our original video content. This role is ideal for someone with strong editing instincts, excellent comedic timing, and a real feel for how to build, pace, and land jokes in video form. The right candidate should be able to take raw footage and turn it into polished, funny, highly watchable content that fits the tone of our brand and keeps audiences engaged.In addition to working on original shows and comedy-driven video products, this editor will also support the broader team with a range of editing needs across formats and platforms.Responsibilities:Edit episodes, segments, and short-form video content for original productions, with a strong emphasis on comedic structure, pacing, and punchlines.Shape raw footage into clear, engaging narratives that maximize humor, retention, and shareability.Implement feedback efficiently and manage multiple cuts or revisions as needed.Assist with general editing projects including promos, trailers, sizzle reels, social clips, and behind-the-scenes content.Use music, timing, graphics, sound design, and visual rhythm to strengthen jokes and overall comedic impact.Ensure all edited content meets platform-specific technical standards and delivery requirements.Maintain consistency with brand voice, production timelines, and show continuity.Contribute original ideas to help develop and grow our video products.Be comfortable operating a camera for on-the-street interviewsRequirements:Strong sense of humor and a clear understanding of comedic timing, joke structure, and visual storytelling.Proven ability to edit content that is funny, fast-paced, and highly engaging.Proficiency in video editing softwares, Premiere Pro preferred.Strong understanding of audience retention and how to keep viewers watching.Familiarity with social media platforms including X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.Understanding of the political and media landscape is a plus.Graphic design experience is a plus.Camera operation and videography experience is a plus.To apply: Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to jchambers@dailycaller.com
