Job Summary
Reports to: Director of CommunicationsJob Summary: The Digital Communications Associate plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s online presence, building community engagement, and driving advocacy efforts through strategic social media campaigns. This position is responsible for creating compelling content, managing social media channels, monitoring conversations, and executing targeted outreach initiatives to mobilize supporters and influence public opinion on key political issues. Job Duties:Create and draft daily social media content for Heritage Action’s social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, Gettr, TruthSocial, YouTube, and Rumble). Create and maintain a weekly digital team document to track Heritage Action’s digital products. Draft text for written and visual products, including digital toolkits, call scripts, video scripts, emails, comment portals, graphics, amp; text messages. Work with graphic designers to develop quality digital content (graphics and videos).  Track social media analytics to identify trends and inform digital strategy. Support the Heritage Action federal and state lobbying teams by monitoring legislative action and creating relevant digital content. Ensure timely amplification of Heritage Action press products, television news hits, and press mentions. Maintain awareness of Heritage Action events, Hill events, and The Heritage Foundation events, providing digital support as needed. Maintain awareness of the daily news cycle and current events, looking for opportunities to promote Heritage Action products, campaigns, and messaging priorities. Coordinate with The Heritage Foundation Communications teams to track products for collaboration or amplification. Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalentExperience: Knowledge of social media management best practices, preferably within the political or advocacy sector Communication: Excellent writing and editing skills; able to craft persuasive and compelling content Technology: Microsoft Suite; proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms Other Requirements:Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the department’s goals and objectives. Promote policies consistent with Heritage’s priorities; speak with one voice. High level of professionalism (adaptability, maturity, integrity, accountability). Highly organized and attentive to detail; able to multitask and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter with a willingness to innovate to accomplish goals. The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $65,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate, and the final salary offered to a selected candidate depends on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, and other qualifications; internal and external market pay for comparable jobs; and level of hire based on aforementioned qualifications.
