Accounting & Finance Manager, Controller TrackSparrow Product Development, Inc.
Month-End Close and General Ledger
Own and execute the full month-end close process for three legal entities
Prepare and post journal entries
Perform and review balance sheet and account reconciliations
Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records
Manage entity-level accounting and intercompany considerations as applicable
Payroll, Benefits, and Taxes
Manage semi-monthly payroll processing
Reconcile payroll-related accounts
Coordinate payroll tax filings and compliance
Manage accounting for benefits and 401k plans
Serve as the primary accounting contact for payroll and benefits vendors
Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Cash Flow
Own accounts payable workflows, including vendor payments and reconciliations
Oversee accounts receivable processes and collections tracking
Manage cash balances and timing of inflows and outflows
Support short-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
Ensure leadership has clear visibility into cash position and upcoming obligations
Budgeting and Financial Planning Support
Manage the annual budgeting process across entities
Track actuals versus budget and identify variances
Partner with leadership on expense management and financial planning
Maintain budget models and supporting documentation
Board and Leadership Support
Compile, prepare, and present financial reports and summaries for board meetings
Ensure board materials are accurate, clear, and delivered on time
Partner with leadership to explain financial results, trends, and variances
Respond to board-level financial questions as needed
Compliance, Controls, and Process Improvement
Support tax preparation and compliance activities
Maintain accounting policies and documentation
Ensure adherence to internal controls and best practices
Prepare schedules and documentation for audits or external reviews
Identify opportunities to improve accounting and finance processes
Establish repeatable, scalable workflows as the business grows
Growth Opportunity, Controller Track
This role is designed to grow into a Controller position as the company scales. Over time, this individual may expand ownership into financial reporting leadership, internal controls design, audit management, and broader finance leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications
5 to 8 plus years of progressive accounting experience
Strong experience with month-end close and reconciliations
Hands-on payroll, benefits, and cash management experience
Solid understanding of AR, AP, and budgeting processes
Required experience using QuickBooks Desktop, including multi-entity accounting
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Comfortable owning processes end-to-end with minimal oversight
Experience in small to mid-sized companies preferred, manufacturing a plus
CPA a plus but not required.

This role is based full-time in our Shingle Springs office and requires on-site presence during standard business hours. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this current position.
