IT Systems Administrator I/IITechnovative Applications
We are seeking a motivated IT Systems Administrator to support day-to-day operations of Windows and Linux-based infrastructure at a DoD government facility. The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and Linux administration, and is eager to grow within a structured, mission-driven environment. This position requires an active Secret clearance and the ability to work on-site at a cleared government facility.
This job can be entry-level or for candidates with more advanced experience.
Perform Active Directory user and group account management including provisioning, de-provisioning, password resets, and group policy troubleshooting
Assist with administration of Windows Server (2016/2019) environments including file shares, print services, DNS, and DHCP
Support Linux server operations (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) including basic configuration, patching, and log review
Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN client connectivity
Assist with configuration and maintenance of network devices including managed switches, routers, and firewalls; support VLAN segmentation and ACL management
Support implementation and troubleshooting of VPN solutions (IPsec, SSL/TLS) for secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity
Assist with encryption key management and PKI certificate lifecycle including CAC/token issuance, renewal, and revocation in coordination with the ISSO
Ensure data-at-rest and data-in-transit encryption standards are met per DoD policy; support BitLocker deployment on endpoints and verify TLS configurations on servers
Assist with STIG implementation and vulnerability remediation under the guidance of senior administrators
Respond to Tier 1/2 helpdesk escalations and document resolutions in the ticketing system (ServiceNow or Remedy)
Support account management on NIPRNet systems; adhere to all DoD security policies and need-to-know protocols
Assist with imaging and deploying workstations using SCCM or similar tools
Maintain hardware and software asset inventory records
Participate in patching cycles and assist with monthly vulnerability scan remediation using Nessus/ACAS

- CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant) — required prior to start or within 6 months of hire
- Working knowledge of Active Directory user and group management

- IT experience in a Windows/Linux environment•3 - 5 years
- CompTIA Network+ or Linux+ certification
- Experience with STIG compliance or DISA checklists
- Familiarity with PowerShell or Bash scripting
- Experience with ServiceNow or Remedy ticketing systems
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Prior experience supporting a DoD or federal government environment
