Health Records Assistant - Summer TempLiberty University

Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations and Records, the Summer Health Records Assistant will collaborate with the Health Records Coordinator to manage incoming phone calls, respond to emails in the departmental inbox, and assist visitors with questions related to student health forms. This role also involves processing and organizing submitted health forms to ensure accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate for this position must be detail-oriented, organized, well-spoken, and self-motivated.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process submitted Student Health forms.
  • Assist students and parents by communicating health form requirements and answering questions via email and phone calls.
  • Represent the Student Health Records by assisting students in the office and at various events.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned.
  • Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a Liberty University student.
  • Must be willing to learn new skills, processes, and databases.
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week within the operational hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Prior office and customer service experience.
