We’re proud to be voted among the “Best Place to Work in Los Angeles” by the LA Business Journal 4 years in a row.PragerU is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Development Data Team — a small, highly collaborative group that supports fundraising strategy and executive decision-making across the organization.This role sits at the center of reporting, analytics, and operational support for the Development department. The person in this position will own a wide range of recurring and ad hoc reporting requests, build and maintain dashboards on top of our donor CRM, and help ensure leadership has accurate, actionable data to drive decisions.This is not a narrow “run reports” role. The team is deeply involved in business operations, process improvement, data quality, and internal tooling. Strong candidates are naturally curious, detail-oriented, technically capable, and comfortable taking ownership of important work with minimal oversight.The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and analytical thinking with sound judgment, reliability under pressure, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. We also value people who are eager to leverage modern AI tools and automation to improve workflows and scale impact.Duties and Responsibilities:Own intake, prioritization, and execution of data and reporting requests from Development, Marketing, Finance, and Executive LeadershipBuild, maintain, and improve BI dashboards and reporting workflows using Sigma, Snowflake, and Virtuous CRM dataProduce recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables relied upon by leadership and the executive teamAnalyze cross-functional data to support fundraising strategy, operational decision-making, and organizational initiativesPartner with the Data Team on quality assurance and validation of high-visibility reporting deliverablesIdentify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate repetitive work, and increase operational efficiencyBuild lightweight internal tools, scripts, and automations using modern AI-assisted development workflowsContribute to ongoing data quality, operational, and CRM-related initiatives across the Development departmentSuccessful Candidates Will Possess:2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or related workStrong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and large datasetsExperience building dashboards and translating business questions into actionable reportingStrong attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy and quality controlExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain findings to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work under deadline pressureSelf-starter mentality with the ability to take ownership and operate independentlyCuriosity about modern AI tools and willingness to incorporate them into day-to-day workflowsStrongly preferred: experience with SnowflakeStrongly preferred: experience with Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platformsStrongly preferred: experience with donor or CRM platforms such as Virtuous or SalesforceStrongly preferred: experience working within a ticketing or intake management systemAlignment with PragerU’s mission and valuesHow to Apply: First review our website at www.prageru.com. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
