Through these means, American Experiment brings conservative messages to millions of Minnesotans.About the Position The Digital Marketing Specialist will make a difference every day working as a key member of our award-winning marketing and communications team. American Experiment prides itself on going beyond the white paper to conduct marketing campaigns that impact legislation and regulation and change hearts and minds. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing American Experiment’s email marketing efforts (including cultivating a high-quality owned audience), promoting two podcasts with organic and paid content, and supporting events and fundraising via digital and email marketing.The Digital Marketing Specialist will manage multiple priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail and ability to operate both independently and in collaboration with others. Adaptability, time management, and strong writing skills are essential.Responsibilities:Work closely with the Director of Marketing to 1) maintain and expand a high-quality email database, 2) execute all newsletters, and 3) analyze performanceWork closely with the Event Coordinator to plan and execute email marketing and digital marketing strategies to promote American Experiment eventsWork closely with the Development Director to plan and execute email marketing and digital marketing strategies to communicate with current and prospective donorsPlan and execute marketing campaigns to promote the American Experiment Podcast and the rationally BASED podcast in close collaboration with the digital media specialistProduce video clips of podcasts optimized for engagement and aimed at gaining new podcast subscribersContribute to the creation of creative marketing campaigns across diverse media (web, social media, email, radio, etc.)Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategiesSkills and Expertise:1+ years experience as a digital marketing specialist or similar roleExperience with social media content productionPodcast experience a plusStrong written communication skills across diverse media channels, including writing for social media, web, and emailBasic understanding of email marketing; experience with email marketing software a plus (e.g., Active Campaign, Mailchimp, Constant Contact)Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and toolsWell-organized and detail-orientedBachelor’s degree or equivalent experiencePreferred: Podcast production/promotion experiencePreferred: Paid social media campaign experienceAbility to travel up to 5%Tools:Video editing software (Premier Pro, Davinci Resolve)Social media management tool (e.g., Sprout Social) for Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.Email marketing software (Active Campaign, Mailchimp, Constant Contact)Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Google Analytics (Bonus: StackAdapt)Preferred: WordPressHow to ApplyTo ApplyQualified candidates should submit the following application materials (in order) in one PDF document:A cover letter detailing your philosophical and ideological interest in Center for the American Experiment, why this position interests you, how your experience has prepared you for this position, and your salary requirements.ResumeWriting sampleExamples of work in graphic design, video production, or social media content productionApplications should be submitted to Talent Market via this link: talentmarket.org/apply-for-your-dream-job/.Questions can be directed to Angela Hight, Project Manager, who is managing the search process: angela@talentmarket.org.There is no application deadline for this position.
