Job Summary
CPI is helping Capitol Hill offices find schedulers and director of operations candidates to fill open roles. If you submit your resume, you will be submitting your information to CPI's job bank.Viable candidates will have at minimum three years of prior scheduling and/or executive assistant experience.Responsibilities include managing the Member's daily and long-term calendar, vetting and processing incoming requests, managing travel arrangements, assisting with financial record keeping, and aiding the Chief of Staff with various administrative duties and running the front office.Must have strong organizational skills, be a self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to execute multiple projects and requests simultaneously. The Member currently serves on three committees. Ability to work cooperatively with staff to make daily adjustments to calendar is a must.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with constituents, interest groups, and other stakeholders on all invitations and meeting requests;Make travel reservations for the Member and staff;Prepare the daily schedule for the Member;Work with the Legislative Staff to ensure the Member is properly briefed for all upcoming meetings and appearances;Coordinate with the Communications Staff to book interviews and other media appearances;Meet with the District Staff to plan meetings;Act as a liaison between the Member and other Members of Congress, Committee Staff, and other Federal Agencies to arrange for the Member’s attendance at meetings.To apply, go to https://jobs.cpi.org and complete the questionnaire.
