Division 1 sports. Content including but not limited to graphics for social media, athletics venue video boards, athletics website, athletics marketing, and athletics facility branding. Shooting still photography and video at events, practices, and workouts may be required. Will help set the vision for standardized branding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create consistent design look for all content related to assigned athletic team.
- Design complex, high-level graphics for social media.
- Communicate with coaches and players, at times outside normal business hours.
- Specialize and provide in-depth knowledge of critical software.
- Train junior personnel on design best practices.
- Demonstrate expertise in improving the efficiency of operations, reducing turnaround times to fulfill requests, streamlining methods, and working cooperatively with university departments to provide exemplary customer service and results.
- Stay on top of industry trends and be a thought leader for new and existing design workflows.
- Active in the conceptual development of design initiatives.
- Plan, organize, and administratively oversee assigned projects.
- Observe graphic format deviations and enforce university branding.
- Edit and refine elements to conform to quality standards.
- Identify, report, and troubleshoot equipment, software, and work environment issues.
- Adhere to file management workflow for efficient archiving and retrieval of projects.
- Work under tight deadlines and changing events.
- Work nights and weekends; travel as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Junior design staff, student workers, and CSER volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Four-year college degree, with a concentration in Communications, Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, or related field is required.
7 years in a related field required.
To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.

- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
- Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Extensive working knowledge of social media platforms and strategy.
- Deep understanding of collegiate athletics
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite.

- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Physical and Sensory Abilities
- May be required to travel domestically and to local and campus locations.
- Required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
- Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
- Regularly required to see and discern colors.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus.
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
- Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is frequently changing. Functions of this position’s responsibility often require one to work after normal business hours and sometimes for long shifts. Some projects are completed in a climate-controlled office setting, and other projects regularly are outdoors, often at athletics events. Work from home may be encouraged or required at times.
